Most parametric programs break on the first one-off. Stairgen doesn't. Where a rule isn't enough, you edit the drawing by hand and the calculation continues with your change. Controls appear right where you need them — at a tread, a stringer outline, a railing bar.
Two stairs on top of each other. You used to draw the lower one, start on the upper one and find out the lower one has to change. And everything again. In Stairgen both stairs live in one document, each with its own settings, materials and railing. Change the lower one, the upper one stays, and the plan, 3D and unfolded views of both still match. The same goes for three variants side by side for a customer.
